Alex Telles sends message of appreciation to United following loan move

Alex Telles has sent a message of appreciation to Manchester United and its fans following his loan move to Sevilla.

The Brazil international has been at United since his 2019 transfer from FC Porto and he managed to make 22 starts last season.

However, none of us were ever under the impression he is good enough to start games. I’d even ask if he was doing enough to offer competition to Luke Shaw, who had a bad season last time around.

Telles’ loan move to Sevilla has been confirmed and he will now start to prepare for a season in La Liga. While we wish him the very best, I hope he does well enough to earn a permanent move away from the club because it helps if United can sell players.

He took to Twitter this afternoon to thank everyone at Manchester United, writing: “To everyone at United: colleagues, staff, fans. I will be supporting and cheering you on all season. Thanks for the memories so far.”

Let us know in the comments section who you think will start at left-back against Brighton on Sunday.

We wish Alex Telles all the best in Spain.
