Manchester United list six players for sale in the summer

Manchester United are reportedly planning to sell six first-team players this summer.

The Dutchman will be plotting out how he wants to build this team for the future and one of the first steps will be to identify which players are surplus to requirements.

According to The Mirror, Erik ten Hag has already identified who he wants to move on at the end of the season.

The six players include Harry Maguire, Scott McTominay, Anthony Martial, Donny van de Beek, Alex Telles, Eric Bailly.

Stretty News verdict

Harry Maguire: The centre-back’s role has been reduced to that of a bit-part player. If he wants to remain a key player for England, he needs to be playing football regularly and that is not going to happen at United anymore. We’ve moved on and we are better defensively for it.

Scott McTominay: Good squad player but one that could be upgraded.

Anthony Martial: As a fan, I’m running out of patience with Martial and his lack of availability. Can you imagine what Ten Hag thinks?

Donny van de Beek: Just take us out of our misery and sell him.

Alex Telles: We’ve now got Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia at left-back. Alex Telles is one of the first players I would be showing the door in the summer.

Eric Bailly: The Ivorian falls into the same bracket as Maguire when you look at the defensive pecking order. I’d rather start Martinez, Varane, Shaw or Lindelof over Bailly.

  1. mctominay is an awful footballer – in no way is he a good squad player. clearly ETH agrees. DVB has been unlucky with injuries and managers, this season he has been injured for a majority of games. DVB is similar to forlan, never got an opportunity then became a bit of a joke player. he will prove the doubters wrong, mctominay won’t. he will play for some low level PL club.

I also just want to point out that OGS is still managing his sons U14s team. This is a manager that strettynews thought was a great manager and worthy of managing manchester united for numerous years and with lots of money given to him.

Numerous PL jobs have come up and yet no-one called wally. thats how bad he was. no one will touch him.

    1. Please get your facts in order before slaying a manchester united legend. OGS have turned down a lot of quality offers. Have some f****** respect!

    2. The way you got rattled by an article, both McTominay and DVB need to go, he’s not proving anyone wrong here.

  2. I think the dutch manager is right. Because he has his team only he knows his team . I think his decision is right
