The Europa League draw takes place on Friday afternoon after 12pm noon. Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes has named two teams he is eager to draw in the quarter-finals.
Manchester United booked their place in the next round of the competition after beating Real Betis 5-1 on aggregate, causing over the course of two legs and convincing booking their spot in the latter stages.
Juventus have already joined them in Friday’s draw after seeing off Freiburg 3-0 on aggregate, while Roma knocked out Real Sociedad. They are the two teams Scholes wants United to face in the next round.
Due to being in a second-rate competition, Scholes is keen to avoid one of the Europa League’s smaller sides and wants a tie that will ensure a big atmosphere at Old Trafford.
“I always want the big games, I love those big games at Old Trafford,” Scholes told BT Sports, as per The Metro.
“I know it’s not quite Champions League when you are in Europa League but the history of Juventus there, what a game that could be.
“I know both teams probably aren’t at the level they used to be but they seem like they are on their way back. So Juventus for me, possibly Roma.”
United have already knocked out Barcelona in the play-off rounds before reaching the last-16. I don’t think any of the teams left in the tournament will want to face us, whereas we would happily draw any of the remaining sides.

What does it matter who Manchester United face in the semi-finals of the Europa League, they should beat anyone at this stage and could go into the finals confidently.
On a separate note Arsenal should win the EPL title at a canter with no competitions to concentrate on after losing 3-5 on penalties to Sporting Lisbon, as Manchester City will surely take advantage of any slip-up by Arsenal.
