Amad Diallo penalty secures point for Sunderland against Luton Town

Amad Diallo scored an 86th-minute penalty helped Sunderland secure a point to dent Luton Town’s automatic promotion hopes after a hard fought 1-1 draw at the Stadium of Light.

Sunderland needed a goal at the end to take something from the game, and Amad dusted himself off to bring his tally to nine goals for the season as he scored from the penalty spot.

The Manchester United loanee was one of five second-half substitute as he returned from a hamstring injury. Tony Mowbray will be delighted to see the winger make an immediate impact off the bench.

Overall there was little to choose between the two teams all afternoon, but we are happy to see Amad back on the pitch and with a bang.
