Marcel Sabitzer wants Manchester United stay after loan deal expires

Marcel Sabitzer reportedly wants to stay at Manchester United when his loan deal expires at the end of the season.

The Bayern Munich midfielder, 29, was brought to Old Trafford in a loan deal just before the January transfer deadline.

Sabitzer was originally targeted to be cover for Christian Eriksen, who sustained a nasty knee injury in an FA Cup win over Reading back in January. United acted quickly but Erik ten Hag will have both options available to him after the international break.

In an update about Sabitzer’s future, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano claims the midfielder is ‘very happy’ with his Manchester United experience.

The Austria international would be ‘happy to stay’ with Ten Hag, although Bayern Munich and Thomas Tuchel must make a decision on that front first. It is understood that Sabitzer’s Bayern chapter had already closed with former manager Julian Nagelsmann.

We can expect a decision to be made around May/June.
