Manchester United target Victor Osimhen asks about Premier League life

Everton midfielder Alex Iwobi says Manchester United transfer target Victor Osimhen has ‘asked’ him about life in the Premier League.

The centre-forward is set to cost a huge transfer fee this summer, should he leave Napoli, but it has been impressive to see him bag 25 goals (and counting) this season, as well as registering five assists across all competitions.

In turn, Napoli are having an incredible season and are on course to win the Serie A title. They have also reached the Champions League quarter-finals.

However, Manchester United are not the only Premier League club linked with a move for Osimhen. Chelsea have reportedly joined the race along with Paris Saint-Germain for the Nigerian’s signature, as per Caught Offside.

Iwobi are international team-mates for Nigeria and it might be the case that the two of them will be playing in the Premier League next season.

The Everton star told The Beautiful Game Podcast: “He has asked. All of them ask. I am sure he probably has the ambition to play in the Premier League.”

Erik ten Hag needs to sign a prolific centre-forward ahead of next season if United are to embark on a title charge. That will be the aim for the manager’s second season in charge.

With Osimhen asking about life in the Premier League, it sounds like he is warming to the idea of leaving Napoli at the of the season.
