Report: Manchester United offer Napoli defender £150k p/w

Napoli defender Kim Min-jae has been linked with a move to Manchester United and Liverpool after a successful debut season in Italy.

A report from Foot Mercato recently stated that Kim Min-jae was attracting interest from Manchester United, Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain.

All three clubs could do with defensive improvements, but at United it’s a matter of Erik ten Hag needing more quality options to select from — away from Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez.

It goes without saying that Kim would be a huge improvement on Harry Maguire, who I think isn’t fancied by the manager.

Another report via Il Mattino claims United are preparing to trigger Kim’s release clause of €65 million. It adds that United have offered the 26-year-old an annual salary of €9m  (£150k-per-week).

After winning the Serie A title with Napoli, Kim may consider it the best time for a big move to the Premier League.

There has been a lot of speculation about a move to Old Trafford in recent weeks.
