Manchester United-linked Declan Rice has now likely played his last game for West Ham

Manchester United-linked Declan Rice has now likely played his final game for West Ham United.

And if it is, it’s a fairytale way to depart your boyhood club.

Rice captained his side to success in a European final, lifting the Conference League trophy in front of thousands of devoted Irons fans in Prague.

He has been a pivotal, irreplaceable and influential figure at the heart of West Ham’s midfield over the past years, so their supporters will be gutted to see the back of their academy graduate if he departs the London Stadium this summer.

Race for Rice expected this summer

Arsenal are expected to lodge a bid for the 24-year-old in the coming weeks, whilst the Red Devils are also actively monitoring the situation and may submit an offer to rival Mikel Arteta’s side.

Whichever club does reign victorious in the race for Rice, they can expect to part with over £100 million. David Moyes is reluctant enough to sanction his exit, but if he’s forced to, he’ll certainly ensure he’s getting his money’s worth.
