Marcus Rashford ready to commit long-term future to Manchester United

Marcus Rashford does not want to leave Manchester United, despite reported interest from Paris Saint-Germain.

According to The Sun, Marcus Rashford has decided to sign a new contract at Manchester United.

The England international has stalled over a new deal and PSG have been long-term admirers.

But The Sun understands Rashford, who scored 30 goals last season, wants to commit his future to the Reds.

A source told the newspaper: “Marcus is staying at United. He was waiting to see if the club got in the Champions League and now they have, he is delighted.

“He loves playing for Ten Hag and believes he has delivered on all of his promises.”

This comes after a successful campaign for United on the pitch. Erik ten Hag won the Carabao Cup and guided the team to a third-place finish in the Premier League, which is a good return for his first year in England.

United know that Rashford would be a free agent in 12 months, so after a good season on the pitch it makes sense to reward the 25-year-old with a bumper contract.

It comes on the back of his best season yet.

The source added that the latest offer proposed to Rashford will see him remain at the club for many more years: “The deal he is negotiating is the biggest of his career and still has work left in it.

“But both sides want the same thing — for Marcus to sign and stay at United for many more years.”

The sooner Rashford’s new deal gets announced the better.
