RB Leipzig hold talks over potential swoop for Manchester United forward

Manchester United are reportedly ready to let Anthony Elanga leave the club this summer.

That is according to Florian Plettenberg of Sky Germany, who claims that talks have taken place with Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig to sign Anthony Elanga.

The journalist states talks with RB Leipzig have not yet reached an advantage stage, however, Elanga is attracting interest from multiple clubs.

Plettenberg believes Elanga can leave United in the summer transfer window for €15-20 million.

Leipzig could be a good move for Elanga because it would give the 21-year-old a greater chance to play more often. In turn, that would help him kick on as a Sweden international.

The Bundesliga is where a lot of young players go before getting a big move. Elanga should be focused on playing time at this stage of his development.

Elanga is a decent player but I don’t ever see him getting regular game time at United, even if there’s a number of injuries. He made just five starts in the Premier League this season.
