Erik ten Hag misses out on yet another target as defender agrees Bayern Munich move

Manchester United have officially failed in their pursuit of Kim Min-jae.

The Red Devils were linked with Min-jae for several weeks before Bayern Munich entered the race – and they quickly took the lead.

It was a matter of days before reports suggested that the reigning Bundesliga champions had beaten United to the signing, with Fabrizio Romano now confirming that there is a complete agreement in place between Min-jae and Bayern.

He will sign a five-year deal upon his arrival and the German club will pay  Napoli his release clause when it can be activated on July 1.

United eyeing centre-back signing

Now, United must continue scouring the market for a suitable alternative. It’s been no secret that Erik ten Hag wants to bolster his defence but lately speculation has circulated on a new midfielder, striker and goalkeeper.

The club also need to sanction numerous outgoings in the coming weeks to allow breathing room when it comes to negotiating potential deals.

  1. The club owners are cursed coped with very slow, poor negotiators.
They will end up panicking and over pay for average last minute buyings. 5th league table finish this time around is guaranteed

  2. Utd Transfer staff are an absolute shambles and a joke. They couldn’t buy groceries from Tesco’s they are that bad. How on earth did we lose the signature of Min-Jae. We spend weeks and months talking about players but never commit to buying.
They need to sack everyone involved in transfers and bring in people that can get things done and make a decision.
We are the joke of the football world at the moment.
