Man United have genuine interest in former Premier League star who has 31 goals this season

Journalist Graeme Bailey of HITC claims that Manchester United are genuinely interested in signing Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane during the upcoming transfer window.

Last summer, Man United were in the race to sign the England star, but a deal never materialised because Tottenham Hotspur were hesitant to deal with a direct league rival.

The London club were keen to offload him to a foreign team, but in the end, Bayern Munich emerged victorious in the competition to recruit him.

Despite Kane’s outstanding form on an individual level for the Bundesliga winners, Bailey asserts that the Red Devils still view Kane as a solid and ideal summer option.

The administration and coaching staff at United would rather bring in a seasoned frontman, who may even assist Rasmus Hojlund should one become available.

Although United are aware that signing Kane would be challenging, if not impossible, Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS are accustomed to closing multi-million dollar agreements and seldom take no for an answer.

Bailey claims that before pursuing other targets, they will insist on looking into the Kane transfer.

For Bayern in his first year, the 30-year-old has been outstanding. In the same number of games, he has scored 31 goals and provided 8 assists.

Bayern are unlikely to consider selling him when the transfer market reopens due to his outstanding performances.

Although United intended to sign Kane before Hojlund, they ultimately had to shell out a sizable sum of money to sign the Dane.

After a sluggish start to the season, Hojlund has begun to live up to expectations. Including 7 goals from his previous 6 league outings, he has 13 goals this season.
