Bruno Fernandes among Premier League Player of the Month nominees

Bruno Fernandes has been nominated for April’s Premier League Player of the Month award.

The Portugal international, who has dealt with heavy criticism all season, scored six goals in the Premier League last month.

However, it wasn’t a good month on the pitch for the team. United won one match, lost as many, and drew three as we blew our chances of qualifying for the Champions League.

Fernandes faces competition from five Premier League stars as he searches for his fifth POTM award since signing for United from Sporting Lisbon, in 2020. We feel his commitment to the cause has been disrespected by many pundits this season, so it would be nice to see him come out on top for another month.

The other players include Chelsea’s Cole Palmer, Crystal Palace’s Jean-Philippe Mateta, Arsenal’s Kai Havertz, Everton’s Jordan Pickford and Man City’s Josko Gvardiola.

You can vote for Fernandes here but voting ends at midday on Monday 6 May.

Fernandes up for Manchester United Player of the Month

Fans can select from three options for April’s Manchester United Player of the Month award, which is separate to the award given out by the Premier League.

Fernandes is up against Alejandro Garnacho and Harry Maguire for the latest accolade.

Let us know in the comments section who you will be voting for in April.
