Erik ten Hag set for £10m transfer boost as outcast prepares for Saudi Arabian move

Manchester United are ready to sell Alex Telles permanently to Al Nassr.

The defender is yet to return to Carrington following his season-long loan spell with Sevilla, where he lifted the Europa League trophy and made 38 appearances for the Spanish side.

Telles, 30, was signed by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer from FC Porto back in 2020 for £15.4 million. Initially, he rivalled Luke Shaw for the starting role at left-back but ultimately fell in the pecking order when the Englishman’s form picked back up.

Erik ten Hag then went on to acquire a new left-back as his first signing last summer in the form of Tyrell Malacia, before sending Telles out on loan for the 2022/2023 campaign – making his preferences on the left flank crystal clear.

Now, the Brazilian international is one of numerous expected outgoings at Old Trafford in this transfer window, and he’s seemingly ready to put his European career to bed.

United have been in talks with Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr in recent days to negotiate Telles’ imminent exit and according to talkSPORT, the Red Devils could recuperate £10m from the deal.
